Programme overview

The four cities that were each in turn capitals of the kingdom, travelled west to east and then south: the ramparts of Rabat, El Hedim square in Meknès, the medina of Fez and the gardens of Marrakech.

Day by day

1. Day 1

   Casablanca

   Welcome, hotel check-in and a visit to the Hassan II Mosque at the end of the day.

2. Day 2

   Rabat

   On to the capital: the Kasbah of the Udayas, the Hassan Tower and the Mohammed V Mausoleum.

3. Day 3

   Meknès

   El Hedim square, Bab Mansour and the granaries of Moulay Ismail.

4. Days 4 and 5

   Fez

   Two days in the medina of Fez el-Bali: the Bou Inania Madrasa, the souks and the tanneries.

5. Days 6 and 7

   Marrakech

   The Koutoubia, the Saadian Tombs, the Bahia Palace and an evening at Jemaa el-Fna.

6. Day 8

   Return

   A free morning, then the road back to Casablanca.
